| John Daly from BBC Radio Ulster recently explored Colour Breathing at the first Healthy Minds event . The Healthy Minds event took place at the Lakeland Youth Forum in Enniskillen. Local organisations and support groups were on hand to offer advice on matters such as counselling, dealing with addiction and ways to improve general health and wellbeing. The Samaritans, Nexus, the Community Mental Health Team and Fermanagh Active Living were some of the other organisations present in the Forum, and throughout the afternoon chef Regina Shallow demonstrated some easy ways to cook up treats for a healthy mind. Workshops were also available for those attending the event. The Citizen’s Advice Bureau gave advice on budgeting, while those wanting to learn some simple relaxation techniques were able to sample yoga and Colour Breathing classes. Visitors to the forum were also able to spend time with Omagh writer Ann Colton. Ann was on site with the BBC RaW campaign explaining the benefits of reading and writing as forms of relaxation and stress relief. |
